Responsible for repairs and required preventive maintenance of trailers

Inspects, trouble shoots, diagnoses and performs maintenance on equipment

Performs safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by DOT, company and any other Federal, State or Local regulations

Interprets work orders and technical manuals

Repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems

Tests repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturerÂ’s specifications and legislated regulations

Regular attendance is required

18+ years of age

Able to use hand tools and test equipment

Must have own tools

Knowledge of general repairs and PM criteria

Physical activities include: lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder, etc.

Must possess a valid driverÂ’s license

Must possess an acceptable MVR

Must be an effective communicator

Self-starting, organized and possess strong verbal and written skills

Available to work all shifts, including nights and weekends

Must possess the strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in awkward positions

Must possess the ability to work alone or as a team

The ability to keep up with changing technology and updates

Mechanical ability and interest of engines, electronics and precision equipment

Must be able to and comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct

Must be able to interact well with others

Ability to work independently or in a team setting, in a fast paced environment

Must be mentally and emotionally capable of handling a high stress environment

The employee must be capable of lifting a minimum of 70 lbs

A minimum of one-year experience and/or completion of trade school

High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

Responds well to questions. Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations/procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and will be subject to a criminal history background check

Must be authorized to work in the United States
