Position Title: Quality Control Technician - InternshipResponsibilities:This position is responsible for administration of the QC sample reciept area such as receiving; logging and distributing the laboratory samples. Routine collection and analysis of WFI samples; tank rinse and steam samples.

Responisbilities also include sampling of raw materials (API and excipients) in a controlled classified area.Responsible for sampling stability lots and for for putting stability lots on station and/or verifying lots place on station.Recieves Laboratory Samples in the QC sample receipt room. Logs samples following departmental proceduresResponsible for maintaining the stability storage areas in a clean and orderly fashion and for the maintaing the inventories.Perform routine WFI (Water for Injection) sampling through all sites and performs routine WFI analysis (e.g. conductivity; Total Organic Carbon; Nitrates)Performs some routine testing of raw material samples including, (but is not limited to the following), pH, identifications by UV, IR, TLC, GC, and moistures by KF and testing on Nitrogen tank deliveries.Maintains proper inventory counts in MFGpro from both a Material Management and Finance perspective.Maintains FTZ location, deals directly with FDA sampling, and controlled substance sampling.Performs analysis on tank rinse samples following laboratoy proceduresWork assignments and duties are done on time and right first timeDocumentation is legible; accurate and requires little interpretation during peer reviewAbility to follow and perform basic laboratory procedures as determined by the supervisorAbility to operate WFI instrumentation (e.g. UV, TOC, pH) as determined by the supervisorOut of specification data is immediately brought to the attention of the supervisorMembership on quality work groups or teams.Mistakes and errors are found and corrected before data is reportedDuties are performed within the parameters defined by the supervisorRequirements:Requires an Associates Degree in science with chemistry course work or two years of college, and an overall science concentration (or) 3 years experience as a Quality Control Technician with one year of hands-on general laboratory testing.Requires the technical knowledge to operate the following instrumentation (UV, pH, conductivity and TOC) including wet chemistry testing techniques.Good math skills required with a slight knowledge of statistics.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products including project planning techniques and software.Must have the ability to operate a pallet jack.Finding a new job or transitioning to a new position within today's competitive and every changing scientific market takes networking, connections, and timing.
