Perform computer programming and analysis activities as assigned to fulfill project requests, resolve problem reports and respond to help desk calls. Must have technical knowledge necessary to perform work.

DUTIES OF POSITION:
*(DENOTES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
*1. Perform computer programming activities as assigned to fulfill projects, resolve problem reports, and respond to help desk calls. This includes investigation, coding, testing, updating documentation, and preparation for implementation.
*2. Receive assignments verbally or written. In some cases, the specifications may be brief and they will be required to use their system knowledge and analysis experience to complete the task.
*3. Under direct supervision, perform analysis activities as assigned. Consult with user to aid in the analysis of programming requests and resolution of problem reports and help desk calls.
*4. Apply general technical knowledge for testing and resolving problems. Serve as a resource when needed.
*5. Must be able to use their problem solving, reasoning, and judgment skills to resolve issues with minimal supervision.
*6. As requested, learn and become proficient in new technologies (examples are, but not limited to, programming languages, software, applications, etc.).
7. On call as needed to resolve application problems that affect the production environment.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Required:
Associate degree in Computer Science or related field.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

Required:
Two years Crystal Reports and SQL Server Management Studio experience. Familiar with Microsoft Windows environment and SQL database structure. Required to work on multiple projects at a time.
Preferred: Three years Crystal Reports and SQL Server Management Studio experience. Familiar with the Datatel Colleague application, Blackboard application and/or Business Objects Web Intelligence.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
General office environment; varied working hours at different times.
