Overall Purpose of Job:Provide both relationship managers (RMs) and credit analysts in Japanese Corporate Banking Division and Business Planning & Portfolio Management Department with maximum credit administrative supportResponsibilities: Provide operational support to initiate and maintain credit transactions and facilities; (i) Confirm approval status of CA, BR, SFR, QR/SAR in GCARS and save approval notices and attachments in shared drive (ii) Input CA, BR and SFR information into database (iii) Issue instruction sheet for approved credit facilities, collaterals, guaranties and SFR (iv) Receive and check credit agreements, collaterals, guaranties, and other necessary documents, (v) Make other necessary arrangements. Primary responsible for due date control of CA, BR, SFR, QR/SAR, Conditions & Report Required, Covenants, Financial Statements, Guaranties and Collaterals including maintaining database, sending weekly reminders to JCBD and PMD and preparing various monthly reports to the Management. Process credit related legal documents including inputting the information in database, scanning, saving in shared drive and maintaining in the vault. Conduct special assignments such as examinations, audit, and others as assigned by JCBD, PMD and other senior members within the credit administration function. Primary responsible for preparing various monthly reports (e.g. Monthly reports regarding Conditions/Report Required; Covenants; Financial Statements, Derivative Limit Report and Credit Review Past Due Report) for submission to the Management in Chicago. Assist the Analyst in training the junior staff (Specialist) in processing credit approvals and borrower ratings. Assist and act as full back-up to AGO Analyst on the daily credit administration functions
Computer skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access). Proactive at problem solving. Strong written and verbal communications skills both in Japanese and English. Able to work independently. Ability to multi/prioritize tasks and demonstrate excellent time management skills. One to three years of relevant corporate administrative experience, preferable in a credit related function. Education: Associate degree required. Bachelor degree preferred.
