Position will be responsible for the installation and support for all client systems - PCS, Phones, Mobile devices, client applications.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Essential functions (required to perform job):
Identifies, researches, and resolves complex technical problems involving PC's and related hardware.
Asset management, including purchasing, for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
Analyze existing operations and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the infrastructure.
Installation, maintenance and support of 3rd party applications.
Manages mobile equipment (blackberries, radio's, factory mobile devices).
Responsible for the installation and support of client hardware and software.
Managing virus and OS patch compliancy for Information Technology Division (ITD)
Ensuring compliancy with asset management, software license management, data security and Sarbanes-Oxley audit requirements.
Operate maintain and install PC based applications and hardware.
Provide support for phone systems (phones and Mitel).
Support for smart equipment, electrical testers, applications and computer-based plant systems, include basic IT support of robotics infrastructure.
Support of plant systems including CHET, SMET, INSIGHT, CUMMINS configuration manager, ESA, VEPS, and EVT.
Work assigned shifts and/or weekends when needed.
Utilize a wide range of hardware and software tools to support PC, printers, network devices, etc...
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 5 years experience in IT
A+, MCSE, Degree in management information systems or computer science preferred.
Strong technical knowledge in several of the following areas:
Protocols and Standards, including 802.11X, Bluetooth, TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP, DFS, ad scripting
Truck manufacturing IT support experience
Knowledge of manufacturing equipment support: PLCs, Smart Equipment, Robotics, automotive diagnostic equipment.
Must be a self-motivated highly productive team player with strong customer service and multi-tasking skills that is able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
Microsoft certification required (minimum MCDST), College degree in related field desired, customer service and telephone support experience required. Five or more years in Information Technology required.
