Maintain a healthy and sanitary environment for biomedical research animals. Learn and perform technical procedures as scheduled by the Facility Manager. Be able to recognize normal and abnormal behavior for all species. Maintain the cage wash areas; properly prepare caging for sanitizing and then for use in the animal rooms, keep area organized to maximize functions within the area, and maintain all materials needed for the area through weekly inventory of items and prompt notification of needs to supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Must be able to tolerate constant exposure to animal dander and fur and other types of allergens. Must be a team player yet be self-motivated and able to work independently. Multitasking is a constant requirement
