As a Business Development Officer and member of PNC's Asset Management organization, you will be part of one of the nation's largest asset management firms. You will be joining a team of seasoned investment professionals managing our retirement and investment services, utilizing sophisticated market strategies and top quality research.
As a Business Development Officer with our Institutional Investment Group, you are responsible for identifying prospective customers in the local market as well as in assigned regional industry markets. You will initiate contact with prospective clients, prepare and deliver presentations, follow-up with prospects, coordinate administrative and investment conversion team, and close sale of the prospective account. In addition to calling on new prospects, you will also call on existing customers to identify additional business opportunities and customer needs.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Business Administration, Finance, Economics with advanced degree (MBA / JD) preferred.
Series 7 and 66 Licenses are required. If not currently holding the Series 7 and 66 licenses, the licenses must be acquired within six months of hire date.
15 years of sales/new business development experience.
Background in finance, business, financial planning, investments, legal principals, employee benefits, tax and corporate structure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to comprehend basic financial statements, good knowledge of investments, understanding of fiduciary principals.
Knowledge of ERISA, and ability to comprehend regulatory documents.
Experience working with non-profit, public finance and Taft-Hartley client base a plus.
