Walgreens has an opening for a Manager, Loss Prevention Systems & Reporting. This professional is the liaison between internal IT counterparts, and external IT vendor partners to facilitate system and reporting needs.
This manager is also:
Responsible for systems administration, maintenance, enhancements and reporting. Performs as the primary manager of all Loss Prevention systems and tools, including but not limited to, Loss Prevention Dashboard, LP Case Management, LP Business Objects, LP Profile, LP Store Visits, LPxRx, Civil Recovery and Refund Tracking. Provides technical assistance with LP Homepage, Asset Protection software, Criminal Background Checks and Hotline management.
Performs as System Administrator for the Loss Prevention Case Management and Loss Prevention Dashboard applications, including but not limited to, managing user access, ensuring proper security controls, mitigating risks, focusing on usability, consistency, data integrity and quality assurance. The Case Management system processes over 26,000 cases per year. The Loss Prevention Dashboard is used daily by all stores as well as all district level supervision and above. Performs as technical champion across the Compliance, Loss Prevention and Asset Protection division for collecting IT requests, defining scope, budget and resource requirements, prioritizing projects according to ROI and alignment to divisional goals. Maintains high customer focus by continually working with others in the division to facilitate their technical needs.
Performs as liaison to internal IT resources including those dedicated to LP as well as those that intersect with major systems such as: POS, Cash Management, SIMS (perpetual inventory), Enterprise Data Warehouse, Intercom +, Loyalty, etc. Manages external vendor partner relationships including vendor selection process, due diligence, negotiation, service level agreement creation and monitoring, and performance management.
Performs as project manager to lead initiatives to develop and enhance our applications for continuous process improvement, including but not limited to maintaining project workplans and budgets, communicating status, working cross-functionally to resolve issues, managing resources and facilitating competing priorities. Performs as owner of reporting strategy for new Case Management system in accordance with strategic goals and based on collecting needs from multiple audiences. Drives innovation by staying current with industry trends and by maintaining strong relationships with business partners, industry peers and by participating in industry meetings, conferences and professional organizations. Supports field users at the store, district and regional level with technical questions and ad-hoc requests in conjunction with business owners of applications. Delivers ongoing training and communications to stakeholder groups in the form of presentations, written communication, interactive workshops and other forms of media. Manages team of resources including the hiring, training, goal setting, performance management, performance reviews, salary reviews, disciplinary action if needed, and overall career development.
Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years experience managing IT applications or performing as a liaison to application management.
At least 2 years experience prioritizing, managing and implementing concurrent projects.
At least 2 years experience utilizing technology systems for data mining and/or report writing.
At least 2 years experience directly managing people including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.
At least 2 years experience designing, developing and testing IT systems.
Experience interfacing/collaborating with internal/external customers, such as IT, vendors, business partners.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office 2003 or later: Word (for example: creating and modifying text styles, numbering and sorting lists, working with sections and columns, formatting tables, and using templates and using diagrams and drawing tools), Excel (for example: formatting text and borders of cells, working with workbooks and worksheets, using range names, referencing cells, sorting, and auto filtering) and PowerPoint (for example: creating presentations, adding and removing slides, entering and formatting text, applying design templates, modifying masters, inserting graphics and objects, creating handouts).
Experience translating technical requests for non-technical business users, preferred.
Retail or Walgreens experience, preferred.
Experience with Loss Prevention concepts, analytics, tools, preferred.
Experience with Walgreens systems/tools, such as POS, SIMS, Intercom Plus, Hyperion, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Business Objects, SQL, Ab-Initio, Java, preferred.
LPQ LPC preferred.
