This position is required to be "On-Call" after hours (nights and weekends) for a one week period approximately once every 6 weeks.
Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and program complex building temperature control systems and various other limited voltage systems. This includes diagnostics and system modifications on application specific controllers, multipoint controllers, pneumatic and digital controllers and computer networked systems for building automation. Using the tools of the building automation systems, evaluate data to recognize problems and identify and determine solutions for HVAC systems and repair efficiently.
Install building automation systems and components. This includes installation of, but not limited to, electronic, pneumatic and digital equipment, variable frequency drives, actuators, damper motors, conduit, tubing, miscellaneous fittings and wiring. Consult with Manager, Building Contacts, Engineers, Building Automation Specialists and Project Managers to ensure proper time scheduling, customer satisfaction, cost savings, energy efficiency and to limit call backs. Assist the Mechanical Trades Shops with the maintenance and installation of specialized equipment such as refrigeration systems consisting of air conditioning, compressors, condensers, valves, controls, electric motors, chillers, cooling towers, scientific research and food service equipment.
Identify and resolve safety issues such as electrical hazards, asbestos, confined spaces and ladder/scaffold safety. Identify and resolve conflicts and concerns with applicable codes and standards.
Associate Degree and two years of HVAC and/or controls experience or combination of education and experience

Ability to obtain Environmental Refrigeration License within one year
Ability to obtain HVAC limited voltage license within one year
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Johnson Controls digital control systems
Air conditioning/Refrigeration experience
