Support the Patient Access leadership in the growth, training, development and maintenance of performance of Patient Access staff ministry clinical department staff with registration responsibility. Coordinate and deliver training materials for ongoing training to Patient Access staff. Report and maintain quality assurance performance indicators for Patient Access by ministry by employee. Assist in the maintenance of training database repository for competencies of associated staff and quality assurance performance indicators. This position will have a regional focus, with the Training and Quality Assurance Specialist located within the region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain new hire orientation training and guidelines for all positions within Patient Access.
Train with leading edge training materials for all areas within Patient Access.
Maintain ministry training schedules, supplies and department notices.
Assist management team with identifying staff training needs and incorporating into a one-time or on-going training program.
Provide training classes for all staff members at the ministries.
Work with System Director, Training Coordinator and management team to assist with the development of policies and procedures and incorporate goals and productivity standards into appropriate training materials and processes.
Act as liaison between Access Support Center and each ministry in regards to training programs and how they relate to process or policy.
Assist with the bimonthly Patient Access Newsletter. Solicit pertinent topics from the management staff and reinforce training materials, policy and procedure.
Enhance and maintain own professional growth and development through participation in relevant educational programs, literature, in-service meetings, workshops and payer seminars.
Establish and maintain proficient level of system knowledge of all software applications within Patient Access.
Attend required training and complete any system wide on-line training as assigned.
