Current Needs: Currently seeking an experienced,
Manufacturing Engineering Technician/Maintenance
Technician in Fredericksburg, IA responsible for working
independently and with other plant personnel to perform
preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks.
This is a direct hire position.
Position Description:
Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such
as mixers, conveyors, compressors, and pumps
Repair or replace control devises such as switches,
photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors,
motor starters, etc. as needed
Troubleshoot and repair metal detectors, check weigh
systems, scales and packaging machines, etc
Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plant
cryogenic systems
Perform work order repairs, inspections and
adjustments
Able to set up and operate welders, drill press,
grinder, hand tools and other metal working equipment
Fabrication and modification of new and existing
equipment
Participates in plant safety, health and environmental
programs
Job Requirements:
Ability to operate forklift and pallet movers
Ability to work in a cool/cold and damp environment
General mechanic, fabricating, boiler operation,
refrigeration, welding Tig, Arc and Sanitary , plumbing
air, water, steam and hydraulics , with electrical being
a plus
Strong in PLC programming and maintenance
Ability to attend training classes off-site for
ammonia systems repair, ISHIDA scale and Rovema
packagers set-up and repair, Boiler, and Wastewater
systems
Experience in the food industry and knowledge of GMP’s
are a plus
Prior experience in the field and the ability of
welding, pipefitting, electricity, boilers, waste
treatment and general maintenance duties are desired
Education & Certification \ License Requirements:
Associates Degree in related field preferred
