Greenstar Recycling is currently recruiting for the following position based in Monmouth County, New Jersey Waste Facility. Maintenance TechnicianMaintenance Technicians at Greenstar repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.Responsibilities: Trouble-shoot and dismantle devices to gain access to, remove, repair and replace defective parts; restart devices to test performance Replace head/tail pulleys, bearings, skirting and belts Install and adjust special functional and structural parts of devices and control instruments Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts Repair electrical equipment and motor-control systems, such as relays, contactors, and starters Sizing and running conduit
Minimum 3-5 years related work experience High school graduate Mechanical repair knowledge of industrial conveyors, balers, and mobile equipment Electrical troubleshooting experience to include 480v 3 phase, motor controls, VFDs, and a basic understanding of PLCs Ability to use welder, oxy-acetylene torch, plasma arc cutter Position requires the ability to lift, lower, bend, reach, grasp, carry, slide, move and identify parts, supplies and tools and may require the physical ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds unassisted Position may have a greater than average exposure to dust, dirt, odor, and noise Work may be performed at elevated or subterranean locations Willingness to accept, within reason, other duties, positions, functions, and responsibilities not listed above as required
