The associate director of the Office of Hispanic Ministry will assist in the development and maintenance of comprehensive Hispanic Ministry programs/events on the archdiocesan level as well as assisting other departments and parishes in the development and implementation of their developing Hispanic Ministry efforts.

The Primary Duties and Responsibilities of the Associate Director will be to: Assist the director in facilitating/coordinating the planning and teaching in the St. Juan Diego School for Lay Ministry Formation at the archdiocesan level; Collaborate and serve as a resource for the offices of Religious Education and Youth and Young Adults in their outreach to the Hispanic Community; Assist the director in facilitating meetings, gatherings and parish leadership training activities; Recruit and develop leadership teams for archdiocesan events/gatherings; Participate in regional and national professional organizations for education, networking and professional development

Associate Director Qualifications
• Speak and write English and Spanish fluently
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or five years of ministry experience
• Theological Studies; Diploma or Degree preferred and willing to further education
• A practicing Catholic in good standing
• Hispanic Ministry experience; preferably as catechist and youth leader
• Basic computer knowledge; familiar with MS office tools and internet

Skills and abilities
• Must be able to work independently and as a team member
• Must possess good problem-solving skills
• Must possess a valid driver's license and insurance
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate both in writing and orally
• Must be a self starter, service oriented, have the ability to manage multiple tasks, have the ability to work with people of various ages, backgrounds and cultures
• Must be able to manage time well
