The Mission Training Complex’s Training and Exercise Planner serves as a member of the Mission Training Complex Team supporting a Mission Command Training Brigade of the 75 Mission Command Training Division (MCTD). The mission of the 75 MCTD and its subordinate brigades is to plan and conduct training events for Army Reserve, National Guard and possibly Active Component units in both pre and post deployment phases of the ARFORGEN cycle. The employee works as part of the Brigade Mission Training Complex staff. The Brigade MTC is a training enabler in this process that provides simulation and/or Battle Command System (BCS) stimulation to drive the training. Specifically, the Training and Exercise Planner functions as the MTC primary POC for all coordination, planning and development of all levels of Collective Training: Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming. Plans, develops, and executes Mission Training Complex (MTC) internal, simulation and stimulation-driven events. Is the MTC Point of Contact for Exercise Planning; Exercise operational control of Plans and Operations. Attends and documents planning conference and meeting issues pertaining to MTC support to training. Monitors/tracks all activities in support of Collective Training to include: Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming. Monitors/tracks the efforts in the coordination, planning and development of all levels of Collective Training. Synchronizes efforts among MTC personnel in regards to exercise and training events. Serves as a training coordinator and consultant to customer units for Levels II through V. Assists G3/S3s in determining and/or development of Collective training based on unit training objectives within the scope of the MTC Training Program. Plans, designs, and coordinates the use of developed training materials. Provides command post staff workshop training. Conducts battle command system interoperability and employment training. During exercises employee may serve as a simulation system coach/mentor to role players or perform duties as a role player as directed by the Task Lead. Works in a highly intense information technology (IT) environment, and required to maximize the use of Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS), other Battle Command Systems, training aids, devices, simulations and simulators (TADSS), mission specific digital systems/tools, and other available IT assets in the conduct of mission support. Standard Job Description Plans, develops, and implements technical product training programs for customers, and/or employees, and field support personnel. Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules. Obtains information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software and product requirements to prepare training programs; prepares lesson plans and training materials; designs product demonstrations; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions, product demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. May administer tests. Continuously revises lesson plans to ensure course material reflect product features, meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. May include military trainers. Security Clearance Secret Typical Minimums Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
