Job Title: Financial Planning and Analytics Manager II
Finance Function: Field Finance
Reports to: VP Finance Region
Grade: 14
Position Summary
The FPA Manager serves as the Finance Partner to the General Manager (GM) and functional leaders of the assigned Division. In some cases, the Manager may support two Divisions. The role is responsible for analyzing and driving key elements of the assigned business unit P&L. FPA Managers will drive analysis, planning forecast and initiative development within their divisions. They will forecast and plan future P&L results, incorporating data provided by Supply Chain and Distribution Finance team ensuring accurate P&L forecasts. The GM ultimately owns the P&L and is supported by this role. Support the P&L AOP and strategic planning Division process, taking the lead for the Division, the capital planning process, the MBR and the QBR as well as ensuring detailed review of actual performance regularly. They will also support key revenue management and customer growth activities.

Main Accountabilities
· Serves as the Finance partner with the assigned General Manager(s) who have ultimate P and L responsibility, bringing a forward looking focus to the analysis and planning.
· Develop data driven fact based decision making by providing key insights, risks and opportunities to support the business.
· Ensures comprehensive analysis of an assigned Division’s sales, volume, margin or SGA through mining data or supervising the work of Analysts. Direct reports to this position have the primary function to compile data, perform detailed analyses and produce reports related to tracking and monitoring financial performance against the department’s primary performance metrics.
· Demonstrates a Continuous Improvement mindset by supporting the creation of streamlined tools to perform detailed financial analyses.
· Ensures standardization of routine processes per company outline.
· Leads AOP Planning for the assigned Division(s) leveraging tools and processes provided by the Home Office.
· Facilitate development of regional and Division strategies and initiatives
· Facilitate market input on volume, margin and cost forecast
· Incorporates cost data provided by Supply Chain and Distribution Finance to develop the P and L for the Division.
· Supports the monthly close process; collaborates and supports the Accounting team as needed; if needed, escalates accounting concerns to leadership.
· Evaluates and supports the development of Key account programs, new customer proposals and completion of RFPs. Conducts due diligence in the planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and controlling responsibilities.
· Has management responsibility involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing subordinates, promotions, salary increases, terminations, disciplinary actions, etc.
· Ensures data is provided in a timely and accurate manner.
· Performs other duties as requested or required.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements and Scope:
  • Must possess 6+ years’ experience, with strong preference for two years in supervisory role
  • Low to medium complexity division with direct reports, high complexity division or multiple divisions
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a quantitative/technical discipline is required. MBA preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, superior analytical capability, and excellent verbal and written communications. Experience in a manufacturing or consumer packaged goods environment is preferred.
  • Strong ability to build financial models
  • Ability to think strategically and lead development of business vision and priorities
  • Expert in levers and interdependencies of all areas of the business
  • Strong grasp and ability to identify opportunities and drive improvement across the P&L – revenue growth and cost
  • Ability to select, guide, develop, and retain a team of employees. (II)
  • Ability to utilize financial modeling, critical reasoning, and process analysis.
  • Ability to present large amounts of data in an executive-level format
  • Strong verbal abilities; capable of communicating effective with Vice President and other executives (II – Senior executives)
  • Ability to utilize financial modeling, critical reasoning, and process analysis.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
  • Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management, Essbase, JD Edwards, or SAP a plus.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to function within a multi-system environment.
  • Ability to work and collaborate within a diverse team environment; strong team player.
