An Ophthalmology Assistant administers specialized optometric/ophthalmic tests as requested by optometrist/ophthalmologists with patient care, comfort, and safety as primary concerns.
Education: Graduate of vocational technical Medical Assistant program or equivalent in medical background and experience. Successful completion of approved ophthalmic home study course within 1 year and the training checklist within 6 months.
License/Certification: CPR certified within 1 year.
Experience: Previous experience in Ophthalmology or Optometry preferred.
