Roles and Responsibilities: Employee will manage the LAN and ensure all NOTAMS and TCTOs are updated. Participates in identifying required equipment upgrades and submits the required Government documentation. Troubleshoot network and server problems. Employee will be responsible for on-site user support and all software/hardware compliance at the Hawaii Tracking Station. Employee will maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with INOSC. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Develops and maintains LAN and communications circuits and systems documentation. Ability to adapt to a changing environment Excellent PC and server troubleshooting skills Strong process documentation abilities McAfee HBSS, MS SCCM, Active Directory, MS Windows Server 2008 R2, MS Exchange 2003 Domain controller functionality Support Microsoft-based servers to include daily operations, maintenance, patching, upgrades, replacements, and new deployments. Experience supporting various applications in a clustered environment Sharepoint 2008 administration Support Windows-based servers and applications Provide daily operational support to customers IT infrastructure Perform server maintenance such as patching, updates/upgrades, backups, restores, etc Support end users as required to assist with escalated requests Proactively identify performance enhancements, and growth strategies Support, troubleshoot, and resolve scheduled and unscheduled outages as needed Create and/or update system documentation and OP's as needed Support end users as required to assist with escalated requests Perform server maintenance such as patching, updates/upgrades, backups, restores, etc Information Assurance Officer to include develops and maintains DIACAP packages, implement IA program incorporating COMPUSEC, EMSEC, and COMSEC. AIM/IT Account Custodian User IT Training to include initial training, annual training and user requested training Computer Systems Security to ensure the network security policy complies with higher-level policies. Client Support Administrator to include tracking all IA CBT Training Automated Message Handling System to include user account management Records Management Support to include folder access and availability Telecommunications Monitoring and Assessment Program Assist with other IT related projects as needed.
Employee will have a B.S.C.S. or B.S. in a related field or at least 5 years supporting users and Windows-Based systems. Systems administration skills involving adding and removing computers from domain via Server Manager, experience with setup, installation and configuration of various desktops/laptops such as Dell and HP. Employee must have experience in network management and an extensive knowledge of broad-based networked computer environments and Windows Server. Windows installation and configuration, Windows Server Administration, experience with LAN/WAN connectivity. Employee will be experienced in gathering information for software compliance using available tools and must be able to support installation, implementation in accordance with Air Force regulations, requirements and specifications. Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one. A COMPTIA Security+ certification is required.
