The Pioneer Circulation Manager will assist the Pioneer student newspaper by picking up the newspaper from a local print shop each week, circulating said newspaper on a daily basis, and electronically filling out accuracy checks and sending those out to the appropriate people, mail out newspapers to subscribers.

Job Duties (Duties Assignment Statement)
Essential Functions

Drive a college vehicle to pick up newspaper from printer each week.

Circulate said newspaper daily.

Electronically create and print accuracy checks.

Mail accuracy checks to the appropriate people.

Mail out newspaper to those on mailing list.

Write News stories for publication.

Write Highlights

Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices for the purpose of providing injury and illness prevention for self and others.

Minimum Education/Experience
Must be an OCCC student with a current Federal Work Study Award.

Must have valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Working knowledge of computers.

Good communications skills.

Good human relations skills.

Must be self-motivated.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions
Must be able to lift at least 10 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications
Journalism/Broadcasting major preferred by not required.

Good writing skills preferred.

Work Hours
Will work up to 20 hours per week/45 weeks per year
