Supporting the research mission of Boston College and the goals of the Office for Sponsored Programs, the Grant Proposal & Contracts Administrator will provide technical assistance and guidance in the preparation and processing of complex research grants and contract proposals and for their procurement, reporting, and administrative management when awarded. This position will interact directly with faculty and administrators at various levels in a variety of departments. Advises and assists departments with process and compliance issues, analyzes and reviews grant budgets for compliance with policies, reviews completed proposal applications and contracts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the requirements, policies and procedures of the University and the prospective funding agency. Negotiate the terms and conditions of grants and contracts on behalf of the University, and obtain the approval of the Director of Pre-Award Administration regarding their content. Provide non-financial post-award administration, Responsible for subcontracting development for assigned departments.
*A Bachelor's degree is required
*2-3 years professional level pre-award research administration experience in a University or Hospital environment and/or 2-3 years of directly related nonexempt experience required.
*Experience with electronic research administration systems i.e., Grants.gov, Fastlane, etc) is required.
*Must be able to work in a deadline driven environment and be able to manage multiple priorities.
*Excellent written and interpersonal skills are required. Knowledge of agency regulations is a must.
*Experience with PeopleSoft Financials is preferred.
