Cargill Risk Management (CRM) seeks a forward-thinking individual with strong relationship-building skills for a challenging and rewarding career as a Marketer. As a Marketer, you will be responsible for developing over-the-counter risk management activity for targeted customers within North America. The key objectives of the position are building customer relationships, bringing meaningful solutions to customers and achieving projected sales and revenue targets. This is a dynamic environment affording the right individual the opportunity to develop new relationships and build on existing ones, including internal partnerships and connectivity between Cargill Risk Management and other Cargill business units.

70% - Prospect new customers, markets and opportunities across the the Feed and Biofuels industries in U.S. and Canada. Directly interface with customers, presenting Cargill Risk Management’s value proposition to multiple levels within customer’s organization. Additionally, work closely with the Energy Transportation and Metals (ETM) platform delivering risk management solutions to their go-to-market team. Coordinate with CRM’s credit and compliance teams in establishing new accounts. Deliver meaningful hedging solutions through both embedded and direct channels.
30% - Grow CRM’s direct and embedded sales activities in the region through building and strengthening relationships with existing customers. Seek to understand customer objectives, present executable quotes, execute trades and coordinate with trading, credit, compliance and operations and any other duties as assigned.
Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience including building customer relationships, managing credit issues and overall compliance with corporate standards, policies and procedures.
Minimum of 3 years experience in commodity markets and ability to understand the financial implications of market movements.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Related field
Familiarity with futures/options/commodity markets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills and persuasiveness
Team player and customer oriented
Strong math skills, problem solving skills & attention to detail
Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Display leadership and high level of professionalism with external & internal customers
