Edgesource is currently seeking a Application Support Specialist andSoftware Tester capable of performing quality assurance and end user support functions for Windows based software deployments. The successful candidate will have experience writing functional tests, and may be called upon to provide input into the configuration management and release management practices for the team.
This person will initially focus on help desk and end user support but will alsoparticipate in testing and tracking software defects from vendor and custom applications under a variety of situations (suitability, release, regression, bug reports). Successful candidates will possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and be organized and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
A minimum of 2 years experience with defect/bug tracking is expected and experience with test automation and load/performance testing is a plus. Successful candidates should have beginner level or better knowledge of SQL and knowledge and experience working with section 508 compliance software tools.
Qualified candidate should have a bachelor's degree in an IT related field, and a minimum of two years professional experience as a QA/Software Tester, or 6+ years of professional experience in lieu of educational requirement.
*Must be US citizen and meet eligibility requirements. Strong preference given to individuals possessing a Secret security clearance or higher.
