Manager, Web Analytics

The Manager of Web Analytics will work closely with Internal Marketing Groups, Studios, Executive Management, and Technology organizations to deliver world-class personalized communication programs and insights. The successful candidate will provide thought-leadership in measurement, analysis, and implementation strategy. We have a tremendous amount of data on how gamers play our games and engage with our services. We need, however, an analytic leader who has the passion, experience, skills and ability to turn that data into action - all driving towards increasing gamer fun.

Key responsibilities:
Lead the web and service analytics implementation by defining a clear strategy and architecting a consistent tag management plan across all media channels.

Provide high quality data analytics to all areas of the business, interface with marketing and engineering staff, and manage the technical side of the analytics platform across the web, mobile, and in-game console (XBOX 360 and PS3).

Develop KPI's, metrics, and reporting that leads to actionable product and marketing insights relating to consumer behavior, site performance, new feature development and testing, and campaign performance.

Drive marketing communication and user-specific targeting based on in-depth analysis of the individual gamer and holistic view of the Activision gaming community.

Deliver analyses including customer segmentation, retention analysis, upgrade and downloadable content analysis, loyalty, ROI, and Lifetime Value

Provide data expertise and strategic direction to our technology teams to ensure our marketing technology solutions can deliver best-in-class results.

Create dashboards and decks that illustrate key findings, along with providing detailed monthly and quarterly results overview to management

Support and train internal users on the web analytics platform

Requirements:
5+ years of experience in web analytics using tools such as ComScore Digital Analytix, Omniture SiteCatalyst, IBM CoreMetrics, or Webtrends

Experience in full-scale analytic implementations or migrations to deploy an enterprise wide solution and knowledge of integration with multiple technologies

Extensive experience in tagging properties across multiple channels with expertise in defining the tracking strategy

Passion for digging deep into the data, finding nuggets of information, constructing the analysis, and having the ability to articulate the findings

Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a proven track record of working across all levels of the organization.

Knowledge of database mining tools such as SAS, SPSS and SQL a strong plus

Passion for gaming and experience with the Call of Duty franchise preferred

Exceptional data analysis in Excel including ability to write macros

Ability to coach and train others on best practices
