The RAC Customer Service Representatives (CSR) provide customer service to the provider communities; ensuring that all Medicaid Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) Services inquiries are answered and responded to within established timeliness standards and record all required and viable information in the Cognosante Audit Recovery Management System (ARMS) all with high accuracy. This is achieved by properly following call center and ARMS related procedures.

Key responsibilities include:
Respond to incoming inquiries, telephone and/or written, from providers

Research and resolve inquiries in a professional, timely, and accurate manner

Document all inquiry activities in the appropriate reporting system

Provide responses to inquiries in writing

Image and archive received correspondence

Receive incoming mail and faxed correspondence

Sort, slice, count, and track correspondence receipts

Establish the Standard Date of Receipt

Open each piece of mail to determine its appropriate destination

Operate high volume scanning/imaging equipment

Actively participate in Cognosante HCS operational and ongoing training

Participate in weekly meetings

Be prompt, present, and actively participate in required meetings and training

Complete assessments in a timely manner and to meet/exceed standards as outlined by management

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge in processing systems

Understanding of basic customer regulations

Additional Qualifications

Six months of customer service experience

Attention to detail

Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment

Ability to assess workload, meet deadlines, and adjust as needed
