The CCHT functions as part of the acute hemodialysis care team providing safe and effective hemodialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed registered nurse. Able to initiate, carry out and terminate hemodialysis treatment in accordance with FMC policies, procedures, training and in compliance with regulations set forth by the state and federal agencies within the scope of practice and abilities of the individual's training. Conduct water treatment and machine safety procedures, opening and closing procedures and other assigned duties and tasks.
Successful completion of a training program for hemodialysis patient care technicians.
One year experience as a hemodialysis patient care technician in an inpatient or outpatient setting required.
PCT experience preferred.
BLS required.
Current certification as Nursing Assistant within the State of AZ preferred.
Current CCHT certification required.
