Technical Support Specialist

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Maintain a key role in the IS Department by providing excellent PC, printing, desktop software/hardware support and network administration at the corporate office and remote locations

  • Resolve Level 1 and Level 2 end user technology incidents at the corporate office and remote locations
  • Responsible for Exchange e-mail and network administration of user accounts, groups and directories
  • Installation and deployment of new user hardware (PC’s, notebooks, and printers) and software
  • Restore PCs and notebooks
  • Interface with Network Services to resolve user and network problems
  • Work closely with IS Purchasing regarding user hardware/software needs
  • Maintain communication with management regarding potential challenges
  • Document incident and resolution in the Incident Tracking System
  • Coordinates with other IS areas to resolve problems
  • Responsible for occasional backup to the Evening Computer Operator position

  • Two years of Customer Service experience required
  • One to two years of technical support experience a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication
  • Must be self-motivated, self-directed and capable of working well with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage priorities and multi-task with minimal supervision
  • Experience with Windows XP, 7, and 8 in a business environment
  • Experience with Active Directory a plus
  • Must have strong working knowledge of PCs, notebooks and printers
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Available to work overtime as needed
  • Bachelor or Associate degree in related field
    (A combination of education & experience may be accepted in lieu of degree)
