Responsibilities will initially involve stream monitoring and other associated tasks. The stream monitoring work includes strenuous hiking in streams with varying terrain and land use ranging from pasture to woods to swamps and brush. Data collection along streams include GPS mapping of areas of interest, flow measurements, photos and limited client or regulatory communication of anomalies. Data is then checked for QA and entered into a database for analysis
Currently enrolled in College or University and pursuing a four year (BS or BA) degree in the Environmental Science, Geology, Earth Science, or related.
Juniors and Seniors are preferred. Prior internship experience preferred, but not required.
The candidate must be physically able to handle strenuous hiking in all weather conditions.
