45735 Multimedia Specialist Nationwides Multimedia Solutions team (within Corporate Communications) is seeking a Multimedia Specialist who is an experienced Flash programmer and website developer that will work with the interactive design and intranet teams. This individual will be responsible for managing the intake for Flash and website development projects and will have: * Seven years of experience in Flash programming, and also have experience with interactive design and development, internet graphics and user interface design in a corporate or advertising agency environment. * An undergraduate degree in web or visual design, visual communications or graphic design; postgraduate studies a plus. Responsibilities include: * Actionscripting and usability (AS2.0 or higher) * Flash production, including leading flash designers, coordinating elements and delivery * Project management from concept to delivery, including timelines and budget * Creative consultation with business partners * Flash design * Incorporating video into flash * Building and maintaining online media * Collaborating with IT and various internal creative teams * Stays current on Web developments and trends to evaluate the feasibility for the company.
Introduces and incorporates new technology as appropriate * Works with visual designers on other project teams to ensure design consistencies and alignment with brand standards * Vendor management Extensive knowledge of Adobe Flash CS4 (or higher) including layout, design, animation, interactivity and motion graphics techniques is mandatory. Solid knowledge and experience with visual design tools (Adobe CS), HTML/XML and CSS with the ability to produce working mockups. Advanced knowledge of video production and the ability to incorporate video into Flash. Video and audio editing experience is desired.
After Effects knowledge is a plus. Experience with Web best practices is mandatory and an understanding of Web user experience is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Strong project management and creative production skills needed.

Online portfolio required. _______________________________________________________ JOB SUMMARY: Provides specialized production support related to internal and external web, interactive design, video and photography projects.
Provides technical supervision for related visual communications projects. Responsible for a core visual communications production role (web, interactive design, photography, video, or production traffic and project management) and will take the lead on this portion of creative projects. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to Manager/Director; no direct reports but serves as lead to other multimedia associates. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES BY ROLE: Website Development Role: * Assists in creative design, development and implementation process relating to companys current and future intranet needs; including web page layout / visual presentation, template creation, web site navigation, graphic user interface, online advertising (banners, landing pages, animated GIFs, etc.).
Assists in providing content management and daily maintenance of websites. * Codes and scripts content to websites. Maintains and supports additions, changes and revisions. * Assists in analyzing websites to improve the efficiency and effectiveness.
Works with various departments to improve the look/feel of websites. * Helps to ensure compliance with brand guidelines on the website and assist in the deployment and upkeep of content. * Assists in maintaining creative standards through efficient and effective work and careful quality control. Helps to develop and implement better production systems through research and further education.
Video Production Role: * Leads internal video projects. Shoots video footage in studio or on location using various camera, setup and lighting techniques. Edits video footage on nonlinear system using digital editing, audio sweetening, video graphic and effects, and other tools and techniques. * Creates graphics for video following established company standards as to appearance and editorial content.
- Collaborates with team members on crossfunctional initiatives and coordinates the integration of creative and technical elements into a final content presentation. * Assists in quality assurance testing all materials prior to submission. Fixes issues resulting from QA testing. * Assists in user acceptance testing and supports Delivery & Distribution in the UAT process.
- Troubleshoots and fixes bugs related to content and system integration issues. Provides guidance, as needed, to other functional resources related to troubleshooting system integration issues * Develops expertise in intranet design and functionality issues, and applies knowledge in design of websites and in consultation with other project members. Photography Role: * Plans and produces photography for web and other audio/visual programs. Develops and executes ideas for brand scenarios and the internal corporate digital photo library.
Media Production Traffic and Project Coordination Role: * Engages with creative team via leading project meetings, making project status presentations, and analysis of project results. Coordinates all noncreative aspects of creative services that support marketing campaigns, internal communications, public relations, corporate events, and other marketing communications projects. * Advises customers on project needs, and status, and recommends solutions to project logistics and deliverable issues. Services as primary contact and "gotoperson" for internal customers on project status, deliverables, and noncreative coordination with major vendors/contractors.
Works with the project manager and project team to manage project logistics such as meetings, follow up on project deliverables, collection of missing information, * Measures and analyzes outcomes of creative projects including effectiveness, usage, trends, shelflife, and ROI. Maintains up to date project information; monitors project deadlines, timelines and checkpoints; provides project reporting and measurement; and tracks project budget, work plans, administration and logistics. All Roles: * Develops ideas, preproduction coordination and distribution of internal and external creative services projects. * Establishes and managers relationships with outside vendors.
Recommends new equipment and methods that may lead to improved productivity. * Consults with inhouse publication editors, managers and other creative services team members to determine the best way to meet their creative services needs. Determines which requests can be completed inhouse, or need to be referred to an outside source. * Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: Undergraduate studies in visual communications, photography, layouts, art, or related course work. Degree preferred; post graduate studies a plus. Experience: Typically 7 or more years of related experience in assigned functional area: photography (image manipulation and color management. digital image manipulation, and an experienced photographer in both studio and location); video production (including participation in corporate communications projects, shooting and nonlinear editing); live events production and audiovisual support (including participation in corporate communications projects and live event management); or media production traffic and project management.
Knowledge: Proven knowledge of assigned functional area: photography (photographic laboratory equipment and cameras, digital photography including color management advanced knowledge of Photoshop and graphics software packages, and computerized information storage and retrieval systems for both Mac and PC); video production (equipment, shooting and editing; and/or audiovisual and liveevent production including equipment and technology); or media projection traffic management (status, logistics, results analysis, budgeting). Skills: Ability to analyze communications needs, and develop and recommend treatments/techniques to support customer requests. Ability to prepare and present verbal presentations and demonstrations to all types of audiences. Must have superior technical capabilities.
Must be able to work within deadlines without limiting creativity. Must possess decisionmaking and creative problem solving skills. Must have advanced organizational skills (planning, goal setting, prioritizing) and computer technology skills in file management/manipulation. Must have command of verbal and written communication skills for interaction with all levels of management and outside contacts.
