About the Department:

The US Controller Group is comprised of over seventy-five financial professionals that oversee all financial activity, accounting transactions and economic policy for McDonald's USA, LLC. The various groups within the department work together to provide in-depth financial reporting for both the Company and its franchisees, preserve the internal control environment, develop financial strategies to complement the real estate portfolio, plan for the various business unit's capital, G&A and operating income goals, provide economic analysis on new business introductions such as menu, equipment, and operating procedures and manage the investment portfolio for McOpCo, JP and BFL assets.

About the Opportunity:

Within the US Controller Group, the Economic Policy Group is a valued business partner with the Restaurant Development teams, Owner/Operator leadership teams and US Management. Services provided include performance reporting on new restaurant development and financial modeling and consulting on business initiatives and economic policies.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

This position provides an outstanding opportunity for an individual to participate in and learn about the Real Estate and Restaurant Development side of McDonald’s U.S. business. Responsibilities include:

Data mining for restaurant average cost analysis
·
Preparation of New Restaurant business performance reports
·
Support for reporting on Special Venues
·
Reporting and coordination of Special Venue pricing
·
Utilize analytical skills to prepare deliverables as requested by the group and USCG Finance Management
Key Customers :

Regional, Divisional and McOpCo Finance Teams, U.S. Accounting Management, Regional and Home Office Development

Minimum Requirements
Required Competencies :

Solid organizational skills and ability to balance competing priorities

Operates effectively in a team environment

Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills as well as have the desire and ability to quickly learn new software applications. Microsoft Access is a plus.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and CPA preferred

Some accounting experience or accounting internship experience required
