BAE Systems has been the provider of systems and sustaining engineering services to the Navys Strategic Systems Program Office for more than 40 years. We are seeking qualified candidates to support our role as the Systems Engineering Contractor integrating proposed design changes at the system level.
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to provide support to the Quality and Systems Engineering Assurance Division at NSWC Crane in support of the US Navy, Strategic Systems Program (SSP) and other programs.
Support locations may include Crane Indiana, Cape Canaveral, Florida and the Washington, D.C Metropolitan area.
The successful candidate will be a senior member of the BAE Systems team supporting NSWC Crane Quality and Systems Engineering Assurance Division (GXT). The team will provide systems integration technical support and engineering design and life cycle support, materials, and logistics support for the OHIO Class and Ohio Replacement Program (ORP) Strategic Weapon System (SWS) and other Government programs.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Conducting functions of systems analysis and support for integration, test and evaluation,
procurement, production, operations, modification, modernization, acquisition, planning, and logistics.
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline plus eight or more years of related experience.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
- Demonstrated experience presenting technical information to customers and other contractors Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project (or similar application).
- Able to work well as a member of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% Preferred Skills:
Ideal candidate has worked with U.S. Navy and / or DOD strategic weapons programs. Masters Degree Knowledge of the Trident II D5 Launcher Subsystem Extensive and hands on experience in operations of the SWS on board OHIO Class Ballistic Missile Submarines (SSBNs), at SWS Facilities in the United States, and the United Kingdom for the TRIDENT II D5 SWS.
Additional subsystems include SP23 (Fire Control) and SP23 (Guidance), SP24 (Navigation) and SP27 (Missile). Extensive depth of experience in operations involving the SWS and SWS support equipment, processes for troubleshooting technical issues, engineering change processes, nuclear weapon system safety, shipyard and weapons facility operations, and ordnance safety rules and processes is preferred.
