Plans, supervises, and implements a program of learning activities and care for young children in accordance with the goals and philosophy of the OSU-Oklahoma City Child Development Lab School (CDLS).

Special Instructions to Applicants
Working Conditions:
* In a typical work day the teacher must stand, walk, sit, and bend for approximately 7-8 hours. The job requires frequent stooping, squatting and crouching.

* Will be working with small children and infants.

* Will cooperatively work with Master Teacher and team in the classroom.

* Daily communication with families will be required

* Teachers will be expected to be outside, in all types of weather conditions on the playground, supervising and interacting with children

* Various cleaning duties and daily maintenance of the classroom are required including cleaning toys, tables, floors, chairs, etc.

Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to lift, carry children and infants up to 25 pounds, stoop, bend, squat, sit comfortably on the floor with the children.

* Must be able to move comfortably in the classroom, and work around young children with reasonable

* Associate's Degree in Early Childhood or related field OR Certificate of Mastery in Early Childhood

* Two years teaching experience in working with young children 0-5 years of age

Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses
* Background check must meet acceptable standards for child care workers

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge
* Must understand and comply with developmentally appropriate practices, Oklahoma DHS licensing requirements, the National Association for the Education of Young Children's Accreditation standards and other health & safety criteria as related to this area.

* Ability to provide positive interaction and nurturing of young children

* Ability to adapt to multiple classroom settings

* Must be open to training and guidance
