This position works under the direction of the GIS & Drafting Services group and in conjunction with reproduction personnel to oversee the record storage, management and/or release of drawings, and engineering documentation to construction personnel and other operating departments including but not limited to, System Control Center, Operations Training, Electric Maintenance, Real Estate, Environmental Services, Telecommunications, T & D Planning and Arrangements, Substation and Transmission Engineering, and various district operations.
Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field OR the equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Experience demonstrating skill using electronic records/document management systems (for example, E-Change, IBM D2B Filenet, Fusion (CADTop), Document Locator (Columbia Soft)).
Experience demonstrating skill converting, retrieving, and delivering electronic files using various methods (for example, FTP, email, portable hard drives, compact discs, etc).
Experience demonstrating skill checking and filing both hard copy and electronic documents to verify completeness, accuracy, and ensure revision control processes.
Experience demonstrating skill communicating with both internal and external individuals both orally and in writing.
Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and e-mail software.
Experience demonstrating skill converting documents to PDF.
Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments which may include outdoors in all weather conditions and in noisy and dirty environments with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ability and willingness to work extended and non-standard hours as required (including holidays and weekends) with little or no notice, on-call and during storms and system emergencies.
Ability and willingness to travel to various locations as required.
Ability and willingness to perform physically challenging tasks for extended periods of time (for example, bending, twisting, standing, walking, and lifting/carrying up to 75 pounds with assistance).
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must successfully pass a medical screening to include a drug test.
Must pass a Criminal History Records Check.
This position is a NERC Regulated position. As such, a background check will be conducted on the incumbent every seven years. Additionally, the incumbent will be required to complete annual NERC compliance training.
Experience demonstrating skill creating reports and tracking document performance measures (for example, # of days in design, # of days to turn around, etc).
Experience demonstrating skill maintaining and administering document inventory and retention schedules.
Experience demonstrating skill serving as a liaison with other companies, governmental, utility and/or industry agencies.
Experience demonstrating skill keeping abreast of new technology and developments related to document management processes and systems.
Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based design, and/or database software (for example, AutoCAD, PLSCAD, MicroStation, ESRI).
