Fluke is currently seeking an experienced, innovative Analog Design Engineer to develop precision electronic circuits for test and measurement calibration instrumentation. The ideal candidate will have the ability to design DC low frequency electronic circuits that rival the best in the world for low phase noise, high stability, and "parts per million" precision. This candidate must be able to critically analyze electronic designs from a theoretical perspective, but also be able to put these designs into practice with cost effective, designed for manufacturing circuits. The majority of the design challenges will be in DC and Low Frequency AC domain (< 10MHz), with occasional work to 6GHz.


Act as key technical contributor on major product development projects.


Take responsibility for significant new applications of known technologies recognized as either patentable or as trade secrets.


Evaluate feasibility of different engineering approaches to resolve technical problems; define optimum electronic designs for new instruments or modifications in existing instruments.


Direct or conduct functional, environmental and field tests of new or unusually complex designs.


Research new technologies for future use.


May technically direct the work of other engineering personnel, and perform other related duties as assigned.



Exceptional ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness in analog electronic design.


Applies, develops, test highly advanced technologies, theories, concepts, and principles.


Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum of 5 years of practical, technical experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.


Completed innovative designs with patents assigned desirable.


Specific emphasis on analog circuit design (< 10 GHz), strip line techniques, and impedance control.


Ability to generate high quality technical documentation and generate sound conclusions regarding specific technical investigations.


Experience a plus includes: vector network analysis, SPICE, error & TUR analysis, root cause analysis, phase margin, gain/pole+zero/crossover loop analysis, phase margin, distortion, compliance, system noise, inductive loading, shunts, transconductance amplifiers, phase feedback, electrical thermals design, electrical calibration, C++, Python, Linux, multi-threaded firmware, ESD, EMC, electrical safety, design of experiments, design for test, design for manufacturing, PCB design for thermals, leakage, and noise.
