Employees who work in our Facilities Engineering group make personal contributions to a variety of team efforts by planning and conducting engineering research, analysis and evaluation of facilities issues. They are responsible for facilities issues related to acquisitions, divestitures, major constructions and other design projects. A Facilities Engineer can expect to solve complex engineering problems involving our facilities, maintenance, construction, processes, systems and specialized equipment. They conduct preliminary design evaluations and research, and prepare alternate proposals based on trade-off studies, make-buy decisions and other research. They prepare technical reports, analyses, estimates, recommendations and proposals for use by management/leadership in short and long range planning. They also coordinate the review of concepts and proposals with other departments, customers and vendors as required and serve as a point of contact for vendors and industrial representatives.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Sciences or Architectural Engineering required. Master's degree highly desirable.
Minimum 3.2 GPA undergraduate or 3.5 graduate required.
Relevant internship experience or prior work experience required.
Must be able to demonstrate leadership competencies through academic, extra-curricular or work experiences.
