What You'll Do:
At John Deere Power Systems in Waterloo, IA as a Product Engineer , you will produce and/or evaluates possible design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance based on specialized knowledge of engineering applications. You will work with cross functional individuals as a team to accomplish goals. Also in this position you will have the opportunity to:

Analyze assignments and determine engineering specifications which must be fulfilled for routine problems or projects.

Reducing customer warranty and improve product quality.

Partner with global facilities and international team on a daily basis.

Compile and document the design solution required for building of prototypes and adoption of the design with possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel.

Learn and apply company engineering policies and practices

Execute test or analysis plan for product verification and validation. What It Takes

We need an excellent communicator who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally you will have a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. In addition we require the following which can be fulfilled through an internship as well as practical experience:

Manufacturing assembly, machining or fabrication experience of one year or more.

Product Engineering or Engineering Field Support experience of one year or more.

Experience in diesel engine design, engine performance development, or vehicle application interaction.

Experience with 3D modeling and 2D drawing of one year or more.

Demonstrated skills in communication of technical data and project information.

Previous work experience with mechanical and / or electrical systems.

Proficient Computer Skills.

Experience with casting design or manufacturing.

Strong understanding of engineering principles as they relate to engine applications.
A strong candidate will have experience and knowledge with off road vehicles.
