They provide corporate, non-profit, and government clients in the healthcare industry with consulting services and software deployment support, nationally. This employer is a small, entrepreneur, minority women-owned firm, and an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).Sales/ Account ManagerReporting to the President/CEO, the Sales and Account Manager in collaboration with the firm's executives will create and fully execute the marketing, sales, and business development strategy. Supported by the executives, he/she shall manage and oversee every aspect of the marketing, sales, and business development process from lead generation to appointment confirmation, oral presentations, proposal development and submission, and closing on new business opportunities. This person will also be responsible for identifying new customers, primarily in the medical industry (i.e., hospitals, physician offices, medical clinics, etc.) and building a sales pipeline for the firm.The ideal candidate will be a hunter and producer and have a proven track record in marketing and selling healthcare software consulting services or closely related services.

The ability to build solid relationships, have exceptional follow through, apply the sales process and execute the deal and close business opportunities continuously is essential. We are looking for someone who brings their own rolodex of contact for building new business.Additional important KSA: Self starter with sales and marketing expertise, selling to hospitals, physician, and medical clinics experience. Current or previously employed with a clinical or medical software company. Proven experience with starting up and/or building a sales department to include creating the sales and marketing strategy; and/or past experience in a key sales role and in the top ten percent (10%) of a large sales force.

Hands on ability to be strategic, operational, and administrative - personally managing all aspects of the sales and marketing process including conducting own research for opportunities. Established network of contacts that can be called on immediately to introduce the healthcare consulting services provided by the firm. Ensure that the company is in targeted list of client supplier databases. Professional, polished, and able to build meaningful relationships of trust, honesty, and integrity with new and existing clients.

Strong influencer, negotiator, and closer of business opportunities. Self evaluates and reports performance through tracking daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and/or annual sales reports. Constantly analyzes reports and takes action to continuously enhance sales, marketing, business development, and client relations outcomes. Strong relationship management and project management skills; use of exceptions interpersonal skills when dealing with sensitive issues involving clients, candidates, colleagues and management.

Excellent oral, written, communication and organization skills. Exceptional ability to collaborate and establish internal teams for the purpose of extracting information and executing strategy to achieve desired sales outcomes. Role model a positive and respectful attitude and demeanor using persuasive skills with all external and internal customers. Creative and innovative problem solving skills.

Self-motivated, solid execution skills, with the ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, consulting environment. Self-motivated and self managed with the infrastructure to telecommute full time. Able to work the hours necessary to achieve desired performance outcomes. Able to travel locally, regionally, and nationally (out-of-state perhaps up to 50%) as necessitated by the role and responsibilities.

Bilingual skills are a definite plus.Candidate must be able to: Build and maintain enduring customer relationships. Establish and maintain client and prospective client database to track all sales activity and company performance. Use company certifications, procurement vehicles, memberships, sponsorships, social media networking, virtual world and web-based tools, in-person events, and the Internet to support efforts. Gain in-depth understanding of customer's mission, strategic goals, challenges, and priorities to provide solutions aligned with the business.

Work with internal department professionals and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure viable solutions are developed to address customer challenges and priorities. Market and leverage alliance relationships to ensure best value, pricing, and support for customers. Work with corporate executives and management team to develop relationships with key alliance partners. Build customer loyalty and provide excellent customer service.

Create proposals and assist with enhancement of company web site, collateral, and other marketing and public relation resources. Attend healthcare sales, service, product, and related training. Prospect, forecast, and execute the sales plan on a monthly basis to generate a pipeline of leads. Identify potential leads, collect and share market and industry intelligence with executives, represent the firm at networking events, track business development activity, and identify and recommend professional and trade associations with which the company should affiliate.

Establish, nurture, and maintain effective communication and cohesive relationships with clients. Review Request for Proposals (RFPs) and work in collaboration with the President/CEO and other key stakeholders to determine go/no go status. Ensure timely delivery of proposals to prospective clients. Ensure literature and marketing materials are current and available as needed for business development, marketing, and related presentations.

Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and management of business development and related expenses.Skill Requirements Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communication or related degree preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education. Minimum of five (5) years experience in healthcare, medical, or clinical consulting sales, account management, marketing, and/or business development. Proven track record of having sold medical or related consulting services to hospitals, , physician, medical clinics and/or worked for a clinical software company Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; the Internet; LinkedIn, FaceBook, Twitter, and sales / account management tracking tools and reporting.

Ability to read and analyze contracts and Statements of Work. Ability to respond to common inquiries or concerns from prospective clients, agencies, or members of the business community.
