PEER SPECIALIST – REGIONAL CRISIS TEAM #12046

The Peer Specialist for the Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) is responsible for providing

outreach and support to seriously mentally ill and/or substance abusing consumers in the

community. The Peer Specialist will assist clients with basic physical, financial, social,

personal, and recovery needs. The Peer Specialist will assist the Mobile Crisis Response Team

in the provision of services to clients.

Requirements

The Peer Specialist for the Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) is

responsible for providing

outreach and support to seriously mentally ill

and/or substance abusing consumers in the

community. The Peer

Specialist will assist clients with basic physical, financial, social,

personal,

and recovery needs. The Peer Specialist will assist the Mobile Crisis

Response Team

in the provision of services to clients.

Associate's Degree in Human Services (Sociology, Psychology, Social Work or Counseling) and at least one (1) year of experience providing direct services to adults with mental illness.

OR

Associate Degree, or higher degree in an unrelated field and three (3) years experience providing direct services to adults with mental illness.

AND

Must be or have previously been a recipient of mental health services for mental illness and should be well along in the recovery process.

Work schedule will primarily be 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM.

CURRENT DMV RECORD WITHIN THE PAST 60 DAYS MUST ACCOMPANY APPLICATION.

Salary: $26,536.32
