Messaging Engineer -Act as the lead infrastructure engineering in support of messaging enterprise level projects and internal company infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to, controlling perimeter server Ironmail configuration and monitoring, product deliveries and patched updates, performing evaluations of new software product upgrades and/or enterprise software tools, and troubleshooting problems related to messaging application deliveries. Perform periodic review of messaging engineering architectures, waivers and other server or network design documents as required. Prepare new messaging standards documentation and ensure the documentation is approved through all the approval cycles. Provide recommendations towards selecting winning RFP responses, designing messaging infrastructure solutions to project-based requirements, including providing cost of hardware, software and labor in support of the installation and customization of the solution, implementing the projects' “first build” environments, and providing full documentation upon completion as turnover for Managed Services. Responsible for completing server or network design review documenation and presenting to various approval and change control boards as required.
In-depth knowledge of current windows outlook technologies and NG standards, policies and procedures for client hardware, operating systems and OS layered products is required. At least five years hands-on system administration of either windows and outlook experience required. Application design and coding experience is desirable. Knowledge of open source tools and operating systems desirable. Knowledge of storage and virtualization technologies is highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communications skills with customers and peers required. Travel may be required for short periods of time. Bachelor's degree or equivelent with 9 years experience; 7 years with a Master's degree
