We are currently looking for a New Business Representative. A New Business Representative plays a very critical role in our company's ability to service customer accounts. New Business Representatives as a group are one of the first groups to help independent insurance agents and their customers, the buying public with the administrative processes of life applications. In this positions individual will learn the basics of life administration. New Business Representatives usually start as trainees and are taught to input application data into the administration system and to assist agents with policy related questions. Trainees and Representatives process applications, review the quality of work that has been entered into the processing systems, respond to phone calls from internal customers and agents, and prepare correspondence. Individuals who are promoted to Senior Representative and Professional Representative positions are also involved with assisting Supervisors and the Manager with overflow and special projects. They will also conduct policy audits and process complex cases.

Individuals can be hired into Americo at the Trainee, Representative or Senior Representative level depending on their background and qualifications. Trainees must have good computer skills, ability to type at least 40 words per minute, good 10-key skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidates will have at least two years of office related work experience. Prior experience working in insurance is preferred but not mandatory. College degree is preferred but not mandatory and may substitute for experience. Representatives must have the same basic office skills as Trainees and have three years of experience in an insurance administrative processing related environment. Degree is preferred but not mandatory and may substitute for some experience . Senior Representatives must have the same office skills as Trainees and at least four years of experience working in an insurance processing related environment. Senior candidates must have the ability to process multiple and complex transactions. Degree is preferred but not mandatory. Education may substitute for some experience. We are looking for a detail-oriented self-starter, who is a team player and possesses a strong work ethic. Must be able to prioritize work to ensure timely completion of tasks and comfortable in a ever changing environment.
