Directs and coordinates activities of production department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties. Responsible for ensuring employees perform job
assignments according to Thomas & Betts Policy, ISO Work Instruction
Book and OSHA requirements.
Oversees manufacturing to ensure minimum cost & prevent operational
Responsible for safety compliance & coordination of safety activities.
Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures or governmental procedures.
Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers,
clients, customers and public.
Manage 5 supervisors who supervise a total of 75 fabrication employees.
Responsible for direction, coordination and evaluation of these units.
Interview, hire and train employees.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Mechanical Industrial or Manufacturing
engineering from 4-yr. college; or 1-2 yrs. related experience and/or training;
or combined education and experience.
Knowledge of OSHA and local environmental regulations and requirements.
Able to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with
hands and arms; and talk or hear.
