Information Assurance Engineer-01131060
Provide Information Assurance (IA) and security engineering services in support of various Department of Navy (DoN) Command and Control (C2) systems. Recommend and implement IA controls to supported systems to ensure that systems are configured as defined by DoD and DoN guidance and policy, develop testing procedures, and perform functional tests, to measure system compliance against these policies. Maintain an operational baseline by providing vulnerability and configuration management to supported systems. Work with other C2 system support staff to troubleshoot operational issues. Interpret and provide strategy to clients on various Certification and Accreditation (C&A) policies as provided by DoD and DoN, including DoD IA C&A Process (DIACAP). Support the development, preparation, and revision of C&A packages, documents, and artifacts. This position is located in Charleston, SC.
-7+ years of experience in working with networking, including routers and switches-3+ years of experience in working with firewalls and VPNs-2 years of experience in working with NAS and SAN-Experience with Windows Server 2000, 2003, and 2008, Windows Client 2000, XPSP3, Vista, and 7, UNIX Solaris, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux platforms-Experience with eEye Retina, Nessus, DISA Gold Disk, and Security Readiness Review (SRR)
-HS diploma or GED required
-Experience with conducting system baselining and performing integrity checking against the system baseline
-Experience with creating and maintaining a process to configure and deploy secure systems
-Experience with connecting to network equipment and pulling down the configuration for the testing of the configuration
-Experience with conducting vulnerability scanning and performing port scans of the systems being tested-Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Sidewinder G2, McAfee IntruShield, Netscreen, SQL 2005, Oracle 9i and 10g, CA DBMS 6.4, Exchange 2003 and 2007, IBM Tivoli, TRipwire, HBSS, Remedy, HP Openview, VMware ESXi 4.0, and Solaris 8, 9, and 10
-Knowledge of the common ports and the risks they introduce to the system
