Join us as a Branch Manager

This position is primarily responsible for market development, product sales, the expansion and retention of existing business relationships, the development of new business, and the management of the staff (typically 3 to 5 employees) and operations of a branch having lower levels of revenue, sales, and/or transactions.

Responsibilities:
Manages customer relationships in a manner consistent with Bank objectives for profitability and risk; opens accounts when necessary and is familiar with procedures; processes customer loan requests in accordance with established policies, procedures, and lending authorities; authorizes transactions, Official Checks, etc. within approval guidelines.
Develops and implements a program for consumer small business development and sales for the assigned branch market area.
Organizes and directs the sales efforts through goal setting, motivating, coaching, and training.
Implements an aggressive marketing program including weekly sales meetings, small business calls, and telemarketing efforts through leadership, coaching and counseling.
Ensures a high level of service quality through training, coaching, and counseling.
Formulates and expands business development activities within the market area through aggressive calling and marketing, involving constant contact with existing and potential customers; identifies and refers potential business to other areas of the bank as appropriate.
Exercises the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, scheduling, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and execution of the bank's positive discipline program as appropriate.
Maintains prescribed security controls to protect the facility against criminal and fraudulent operations and unnecessary risk or exposure.
Prepares and executes an operating/financial plan that will achieve the goals of the branch.
Represents the bank in the community to further enhance its image and to develop and promote additional business.

Qualifications:
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelors Degree in a business related field and 1 or more years of experience in a management/supervisory capacity in a financial institution, or equivalent experience of 7+ years.

Working knowledge and understanding of financial products and services
Good interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills, sales and customer relations skills
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in order to reconcile accounts
Thorough knowledge of PC and various software
Basic supervisory and sales/team management skills

Preferences:
Sales aptitude/self-motivated/goal oriented
2 years experience in retail sales
Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives
