The ASPCA Pet Health Insurance program is the largest US pet health insurance program affiliated with a non-profit animal welfare enterprise. ASPCA Pet Health Insurance, as well as Hartville's other pet health insurance programs, are marketed to consumers through a wide variety of online and offline direct marketing initiatives, as well as through veterinarians, insurance brokers and employee benefits programs.The Veterinary Service Representative will be responsible for the increase in sales and market share of pet insurance products within an assigned territory of veterinary practices. The ideal applicant will develop sales territory by making direct calls on veterinary practices; as well as, identify optimal opportunities to develop new customers and new sales. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Achieve sales growth within territory Manage territory in a way that is efficient and cost effective Become technically proficient with all pet insurance products and knowledgeable about competitive products Develop solid business relationships with veterinary practice customers and local veterinary associations Prioritize key and new accounts and spend time calling on them accordingly Develop an understanding of veterinary customer's needs to enhance their services and education Identify advantageous opportunities to develop new business and effectively communicate those opportunities to management team Deliver sales presentations in practice meetings, training sessions, seminars, lunch/dinner meetings, etc. Respond to veterinary customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner Manage administrative responsibilities timely and efficiently Provide feedback on marketing and marketing materials and competitive information in an organized manner Attend trade shows, exhibitions and company meetings as required Complete call reports, expense reports, sales reports as required by management Manage expense budgetPosition territories include; NJ/NY Tri-State Area; NYC; Boston; Miami; Philadelphia, Cleveland/Akron
Education / Experience Equivalence Bachelor Degree OR Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology At least 2 years' experience in companion animal veterinary pharmaceutical sales or equivalent selling experience in a competitive selling environment Veterinarian Technician credential preferredJob Requirements Presentation skills Strong PC skills Ability to travel up to 75% including overnight Ability to lift, move and carry marketing materials, computer and other supplies up to 50 lbs and ability to stand for lengthy periods of time at conference and industry events Flexible scheduling with the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends Valid class C driver's license, acceptable driving record, reliable vehicle and automobile insurance Reside within the territoryExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWe are pleased to offer; Base Salary + Performance Incentive Health Insurance 401K Pet Insurance Please send cover letters and resumes to amanda.p@hartvillegroup.com
