The Advisor Network has an opening for a Core Regional Director ("Core RD") to help drive our vision and strategy through Registered Investor Advisors. The Core RD will work closely with a Senior Internal Account Executive and the Managing Director in a specific territory.
The Core RD will be responsible for building relationships with advisors in this segment and for developing sales agendas with targeted advisors. This will be achieved through various proactive communication methods, responding to questions, providing a high quality client service, and making it easier for advisors to do business with SEI. The Core RD will also be responsible for engaging existing advisors more actively through proactive contact.
This position is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in sales within a team. It is anticipated that there will be a high degree of contact with other parts of the Advisor Network and other internal teams at SEI.
The responsibilities for this position include:
Helping to increase market share by selling SEI advisors solutions to independent investment advisors, involving end-client wealth management solutions, and advisor business solutions
Providing strategic and tactical support, product training, client service, and presentations for clients. The clients will be advisors and end-clients. Communication with the clients may take place in person, by phone or through web-based methods. This training will be based on the philosophy of our solutions as well as the implementation of those solutions.
Providing advisors with case support in terms of competitive and investment analysis to aid advisors to convert assets to SEI.
Overcoming technical and business objections of advisors
Investigating and resolving advisor problems
Working closely with other outside relationship manager in the field
Handling inbound calls to convert calls into new opportunities
Making outbound lead follow-up calls to existing clients by telephone and e-mail to drive opportunities to close
Building and maintaining customer relationships
Coordinating advisor training
Coordinating issues and projects with other business units as required
Participating in market unit initiatives and projects
Keeping abreast of industry standards and knowledge to be able to communicate with client
Interacting effectively with other SEI teams
A successful Core RD will demonstrate:
The ability to understand the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and Broker/Dealer (B/D) marketplace
An ability to communicate SEI's Investment Philosophy effectively, influence client behavior, and effectively prioritize and manage client responsibilities.
The ability to be the primary point of contact for the advisors for all issues.
The ability to establish & build relationships with advisors all throughout the Western United States.
A desire to manage the majority of advisor contact by telephone and online meetings.
The ability to work under pressure

A desire to work in an open floor environment Position Requirements
Required shifts are 9am - 6pm OR 10am - 7pm Mon - Fri to cover the western regions of the US.
BA/BS degree in business, finance or a related field; or the equivalent in education and work experience
A minimum of three (3) years experience selling or managing relationships within the mutual fund / asset management industry
Series 65 or ability to pass in 3 months
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email - *cb*.
