Job Details:

Working plant manager who supervises and manages a GE F6B Simple Cycle Peaker Plant, operated by Mark V DCS Controls. Must work act as Control Room Operator, be on their tools and act as Outside/Auxiliary Operator.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Directs workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.

  • Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
    ·
  • Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
    ·
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
    ·
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
    ·
  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
    ·
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet maintenance schedules.
    ·
  • Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
    ·
  • Suggests and implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of plant or work crew.
    ·
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
    ·
  • Initiates plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
    ·
  • Maintains time and production records.
    ·
  • Confers with other plant managers and region engineers to coordinate activities between other company plants.
    ·
  • Performs activities of workers supervised.
    ·
  • Reviews maintenance actions taken on work order forms.
    ·
  • Reviews purchase orders for parts, ensuring budgetary constraints are maintained.
    ·
  • Prepares or reviews work orders for required preventative and corrective maintenance.
    ·
  • Reads and understands technical manuals and system piping and instrumentation diagrams.
    ·
  • Supervises all preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure it is completed in accordance with technical manual procedures and sound engineering principles.
    ·
  • Reads, understands, and ensures compliance with all plant safety and regulatory procedures.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree (B. S.) from four year college or university and six to eight years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    ·
  • Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc).
    ·
  • Administrative work and customer interface
    ·
  • Must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S.
