The Recruiter 1 position provides recruitment support for positions within a high volume call center environment also to include recruitment support for some non-management positions in one of DIRECTVs 3 business units- Customer Care, Home Services, and Enterprise. Responsibilities also include sourcing candidates using a Hiring Management System, assessing applicants for high volume positions, partners with front line leadership as a coach on Talent Acquisition (TA), Identifies and recommends solutions to streamline TA deliverables.

Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment/labor law and compliance regulations

Education and/or formal training:
Bachelor's degree is required and 2 + yrs of HR experience, preferably with an emphasis on Talent Acquisition.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated organizational, detail orientation, prioritization skills and time management skills to ensure that work related activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
Demonstrated skill in interviewing techniques with a solid knowledge of all functions within the call center.
Expert level in applicant tracking systems- Taleo experience preferred
Strong persuasion and influencing skills in order to relate the benefits if employment at DIRECTV to the needs and interests of individuals.
Ability to grasp a basic understanding of the Company's organizational structure as well as develop an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
Ability to work effectively in a team oriented, high demand and fast paced environment.
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and work with highly sensitive data and information.
Solid communication skills to effectively deal with various levels of management, staff and/or outside contacts. Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a professional and positive manner.
Familiarity with a variety of office equipment, standard software packages and application and use of personal computers to include the Microsoft Office suite of products.
Basic math skills to be able to track recruiting metrics.
Strong listening skills to ensure understanding of information provided in interviews and to understand directions and effectively communicate progress to co-workers and management.
Effective problem solving skills used to identify appropriate candidates for open positions.
