Product Owner Intern

Job Description

The Product Owner Intern, a member of the Product Management team, works with product development teams, and key customers and partners, taking responsibility for the ongoing enhancement of the Clearwater Analytics System. The Product Owner Intern works with the Product Management Team to identify pervasive market problems that Clearwater Analytics is uniquely positioned to solve. The Product Owner Intern must fully understand these market problems, including the features and requirements needed to solve them. The Product Owner Intern must clearly communicate these requirements and work with development teams to ensure successful translation of requirements into high-quality software.

Key Objectives:
  • Help drive and execute the strategic vision of entire company
  • Gather product input from key clients, prospects, partners and other market participants
  • Help lead a development team to meet company-wide objectives
  • Ensure that Clearwater releases products that meet market needs
  • Own product development documentation including user personas, user stories, product backlogs and product requirements
  • Work side-by-side with the Product Owner to design and deliver projects on time
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and Software Development Team Leader to run successful sprint planning sessions and retrospectives in order to improve team efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work with the Product Owner Team to understand and help shape the product roadmap
  • Assist in performing market analysis including competitive analysis, win/loss analysis and direct market interviews
  • Learn how to represent the interest of the market in the development and enhancement of the product
  • Assist Product Owner in assuring quality of new and existing products
  • Learn the basics of the Product Owner position
  • Current student enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program; Preferably in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • Experience in the following areas:
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions
    • Ability to improve client satisfaction and understand client needs
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Desired Skills:
  • Securities or financial markets knowledge
  • Understanding of Agile Development Processes
