Essential Functions - Operations/Patrol Post: * Operations Desk/Access Control - Approximately 35% o Responsible for administering access control at the main builindg entrance/lobby area. Responsible for issuing Keys, Temporary badges, Visitor Badges and Vendor Badges to approved individuals. Provides information to visitors and employees as needed. Expected to provide the highest levels of customer service to internal and external customers while ensuring the security and safety of the facility within security policies and posted operational procedures and post orders.* Patrol - Approximately 40% o Perform Safety and Security patrols both on foot and in vehicle to Deter, Detect, Observe and Report any Security or Safety issues. Will exercise strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills to interact with internal and external customers and the general public to ensure the safety and security of the facility by enforcing related Syamntec policies. Responsible for approaching, safely interacting with, educating and redirecting violators and suspicious persons on property.* Emergency Response - Approximately 15% o Responsible for responding to various emergencies and crisis situations including but not limited to medical emergencies and building evacuations in accordance with training and post orders. * Report Writing and Logs/Inventories - Approximately 10% o Responsible for ensuring all pertinent information, is documented and processed in a timely, effective and efficient manner.o Responsible for reliably and accurately documenting all actions taken in response to service requests/dispatches or information received and promptly forwarding that information to the SCC and Site Supervisor.* Customer Service - 100% o All Operations/Patrol Officers will effectively utilize all site process and training to deliver the highest quality customer service and support to the client, their employees, contractors, and vendors in every situation and interaction. Essential Functions - SCC Post: * Alarm Management - Approximately 45% o Responsible for the effective monitoring, investigation, dispatch and management of all incoming monitor point events (alarms) for sites in North, Central and South America.* Security Systems Operations - Approximately 25% o Responsible for effective use of all resources to support client day-to-day needs and special projects/requests, including digital video systems and CCTV, various global intelligence and information resources, multi-line phone systems, various databases, PTT phones, search engines, proprietary web-based resources, and all other available tools and technology* Incident Response and Crisis Management - Approximately 15% o Responsible for monitoring global intelligence and information sources for any incident, events or emergencies that may impact the client's business, facilities, customers, or employees and providing actionable information to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.o Responsible for initiating global incident management processes and providing ongoing support and current information to incident commanders, business unit leaders and incident management team members during various emergencies and crisis situations* Information Management and Data Entry - Approximately 15% o Responsible for ensuring all information, regardless, of its nature, is received, documented and processed in an effective and efficient manner.o Responsible for reliably and accurately documenting all actions taken in response to requests or information received in the SCC via a central database.* Customer Service - 100% o All SCC Operators will effectively utilize all SCC process and tools to deliver the highest quality customer service and support to the client, their employees, contractors, and vendors in every situation and interaction.

Additional Responsibilities: This is a rapidly growing and evolving field. Job duties and responsibilities may change as client needs change, technology advances, and industry best practices are refined. SCC Operators are expected to support Symantec's Corporate Security and Safety and Business Continuity Management operations by assisting with other special projects or related tasks as assigned by management of these two groups. Qualifications: Education required: HS Diploma _X_ Associates Degree ___ BS/BA ___ in Is experience in a specific field or market required? Oregon DPSST Unarmed Security Provider Certification, Oregon DPSST Alarm Monitor Certification, American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification Other requirements or competencies : * Excellent written and verbal English communication skills in all presentation formats (i.e. - in person, via telephone, via radio, via e-mail, and hand written format)* Intermediate to advanced computer skills, which must include extensive experience with Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2007* Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm with a high level of accuracy* Strong work ethic with an excellent attendance history* Able to stay on task working effectively and productively with little to no direct supervision* Strong time management and prioritization skills* Strong multi-tasking skills* Able to remain calm, confident, and focused in a high pressure multi-tasking environment* Capable of working effectively in a cooperative team environment* Able to rapidly absorb and assimilate numerous complex process and procedures via an intensive on the job training process* Able to patrol on foot/Stand at a post for extended periods of time.* Able to safely drive a patrol vehicle, remaining alert and watching for suspicious persons/situations or policy violations while maintaining safe control of the vehicle.* Able to pass Motor Vehicle background check and be insurable under company policy.
