Acentia is seeking an Information Assurance Senior Engineer to join our team.

The Information Assurance Senior Engineer will manage information assurance testing for medical systems/enclaves based on FedRAMP and DoD policies. The selected candidate will also oversee and conduct Security Test and Evaluations (ST&E)/Threat and Vulnerability Assessments.

Responsibilities to include (but not limited to) the following:

Provide day-to-day operational support for the FedRAMP and Information Assurance process

Create and document the IA test plan and procedures templates for inclusion in the Test Plan to appropriately relate the testing standard identified by FedRAMP and DoD

Provide support involving integration and interoperability of IT cloud, network and systems

Determine the IA test level of IA effort

Assist in the development of the path to FedRAMP compliance

Identify and elevate the need for any additional IA test events needed to support FedRAMP compliance (Includes scheduling of annual reviews)

Provides status report to the Government PM on progress/results of FedRAMP compliance and testing

Validate the IA inputs for the Test Plan

Coordinates with the CA for issuance of a FedRAMP compliance recommendation

Provide project management, planning, and coordination of IA test activities. Manages and schedules IA validation resources for IA and integrated test events

Analyze FedRAMP requirements against previous IA testing artifacts to tailor IA tests

Schedule qualified IA subject matter experts (SMEs) to conduct test activities

Provide metrics and reporting to ensure team is meeting the FedRAMP compliance requirements

Review all FedRAMP compliance packages before delivery

Support the implementation of FedRAMP compliance, Federal IT Security regulations, directives and guidance (FISMA, FIPS, NIST series)

Submit weekly activity reports, and meeting summaries for events

Develop an FedRAMP compliance IA Validation training plan

Developer FedRAMP compliance support activities

Self-assessment and testing procedures

Pre-test and post-test checklists

FedRAMP compliance standardization templates

Utilization of C&A management and test tools

Submit trip reports, weekly activity reports, and meeting summaries for events

Required Skills

Minimum Experience:
5 years of Certification/Accreditation (C&A) experience

5 years’ experience in computer network security concepts, firewalls, network designs, intrusion detection, vulnerability analysis, security software, multiple operating systems, and cloud computing

Must possess strong organizational and analytical skills, the ability to operate autonomously, acute attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment

Must have good writing and communications skills

Must understand and be able to apply system security design process, defense-in-depth, system integration, intrusion prevention/detection, penetration testing, and C&A process

Must have the ability to analyze system/network security architecture and report findings

Exhibit expertise with automated vulnerability assessment tools (Gold Disk, eRetina, NMap, AppDetective, WebInspect) as well as manual testing scripts

Demonstrate experience in computer/network security concepts, firewalls, network designs, intrusion detection, vulnerability analysis, security software, multiple operating systems, and cloud computing

Review and give technical feedback on network diagrams and FedRAMP documentation

Advise information system owners on FedRAMP and DoD security policies and requirements for systems and networks

Interface with external customers to provide IA subject matter expertise throughout the system development lifecycle

Keep abreast of emerging security technologies and make appropriate recommendations regarding the enhancement of the security posture of systems and their implementation

Skills and Qualities:
Must possess strong organizational and analytical skills, the ability to operate autonomously, acute attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment

Must have good writing and communications skills

Education and Certifications:
Master’s Degree in a Computer related field (Preferred) or 8 years of experience

Must have IAT Level III DoD 8570.1 – M approved certification: (One of the following certifications are required)

CISSP

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

GIAC Certified Information Handler (GCIH)

Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

GIAC Security Expert (GSE)

Security Certified Network Architect (SCNA)

Clearance:
Active Secret Clearance (required)

Ability to obtain Active Top Secret Clearance

U.S. Citizenship is required for this position as per contract requirements
