Position Summary
The Vice President of Surgical Services reports to the Chief Operating Officer. Surgical Services includes: Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Anesthesia, and GI & Endoscopy. This key position provides leadership, direction and oversight of the Operating Rooms, Surgical Services and Anesthesia. This position is also responsible for all facets of operations in the areas of responsibility. Activities may include: overseeing service line strategy and planning, staff development, budgeting, and management of the areas of responsibility and is to ensure services whereby patients and families receive high quality, efficient and effective care. Customer service planning and execution of strategies are paramount in ensuring internal customers (i.e., physicians and hospital staff) remain positive and able to work in an environment conducive to both retention and recruitment.

Minimum Qualifications
Masters Degree in health administration or a related business field and have at least ten years of experience in developing, overseeing, or interacting with physician groups, product lines, managed care and or/business development activities, in a large integrated healthcare delivery system.
