Home Health Occupational Therapist Sutter Health -
Central Valley, CA
Responsible for the Occupational Therapy provided to patients in the home setting. Is accountable for the initial evaluation and patient care plan to promote rehabilitation of the emotionally and/or physically handicapped individual using methods that help to minimize or prevent role dysfunction. This position is available for acute care consultation as a paneled Occupational Therapist for Memorial Medical Center's California Children's Services Program.

Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of the Central Valley is a large, non-profit home health agency established in 1953, which continues its commitment to providing quality, state-or-the-art health care at home. With an average daily census of 360 patients, total patient care is the goal of the VNA team. VNA's staff of RNs, LVNs, Rehabilitation Therapists, Aides and Social Workers provide all levels of care in the home setting.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of a school of Occupational Therapy by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
Current License by California Board for Occupational Therapy (CBOT).
One (1) year experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute setting.
Certified as a Basic Life Support provider (BLS).
Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in the degree required to perform the job.
Must be able to travel in and out of Stanislaus County, including transcontinental travel. If Memorial Hospitals Association and/or own vehicle used on Association business, must possess valid California Driver's License and upon request proof of liability insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Home Health experience as an Occupational Therapist.
